Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip “Spent Grain” Cookies
1/3 Cup Peanut Butter
2 Tbsp Melted Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 ½ Cups Spent Grains (prepare while grains are still wet)
2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
½ Tsp Salt
½ Cup Chocolate Chips
½ Cup Chopped Nuts
-Mix in bowl: Peanut butter, regular butter, sugar, milk, vanilla and spent grains.
-Then add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well, then, stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
-Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 425° for 8 – 10 minutes, until the tops are just getting golden (do not overcook, they will be hard as a rock and dry).
-Leave cookies on the pan for about five minutes, before transferring to wire rack to cool. Serve and enjoy.
